While putting up chain link there are a lot of steps and elements that can sometimes be over looked. When a fence is higher or longer than normal it may require more support. Placing tension wire on both the top and bottom of the chain link allows your fence to stay snug up against the line posts. The tension wire is installed to pass through the center of the top and bottom diamonds.

How to Preserve Your Cedar Fence
Cedar fences are the most desirable fences for privacy and outdoor designs. They tend to add more value to your property, more than many other fence options. The question is “how can you as a home owner prevent your fence from becoming a grey weathered eyesore?”
So why does your fence turn grey and what can you do to preserve it?
When Oregon’s rainy season hits, the rain absorbs into the outer layers of your wood. When this is happens, the water washes away the outer layer of cells in your cedar board. These cells produce oils that give cedar its color and smell and is the reason your fence looks so good after its been installed.
A fence that lives beneath full shade in dry conditions is going to last longer than a fence that lives in full sun, or a fence which is exposed to several months of heavy rain or snow. That is why staining your fence is important. It keeps out the water, and seals in the cells.
Preparation for staining your fence
First, you will need to pressure wash your fence. Then you will need to protect the fence from future damage by applying a good wood stain and sealer.
Once your fence is installed, it should not be treated right away. Your cedar fence will need time to dry out before you stain it, which can take up to 5 weeks. Stain can drastically improve the longevity of your fence, so it is well worth the money!
Reapply your stain & sealer every 2 years. If you do, your fence will continue to be a beautiful focal point to your home.
Galvanized Screws
We use galvanized screws on every wooden project. The zinc coating on the galvanized screws helps prevent your fence from rusting, staining and discoloring the fence boards.
Galvanized screws will look much better in the end especially if left with a natural, unfinished look. The screws resist loosening up during wind storms. Nails will get looser as time goes on and can deteriorate and bleed onto the wood.
Deck & Pergola
A deck is the perfect way to host parties and add a useful space where family & friends can gather and still move freely. Decks are less restrictive than a crowded room, spills and other likely accidents are less expensive to repair or clean up when entertaining outdoors. Add a grill or a bar and raise the level of a simple deck to an enjoyable entertaining space.
If you’re looking for the benefits of both shade and sun, then a pergola might be something to consider when building a deck.
A Safe Play Area For Your Pet
A chain link dog kennel can provide a safe play area for your pet, that is also durable and affordable. For those who own a dog but do not have a fenced in yard, a kennel might be a necessity. A dog kennel can keep your dog confined to one area of the yard when you are not able to be outside with them.
